Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins :

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer
cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have
multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients
that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after
treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the
cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable
size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a
person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer
cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and
forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has
nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic,
but also to environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing
diet to eat more adequately and healthy, 4-5 times/day
and by including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing
cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells
in the bone marrow, gastrointestinal tract etc, and can
cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7.. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars
and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often
reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of
chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor
destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from
chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either
compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb
to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to
mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy.
Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other
sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer
cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

*CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made
with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute
would be Manuka honey or molasses, but only in very small
amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in
color Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

B. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the
gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting
off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk cancer
cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat- based
diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little other meat,
like chicken. Meat also contains livestock
antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all
harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole
grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into
an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked
food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live
enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to
cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance
growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building
healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most
vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw
vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at
temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C)..

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high
caffeine Green tea is a better alternative e and has cancer
fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or
filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap
water. Distilled water is acidic, it needs to be alkalined if you drink it
The natural way to alkaline it is to squeese fresh lemons in it.
Lemons are alkalining fruit.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of
digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the
intestines becomes putrefied and leads to more toxic
buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By
refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes
to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the
body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system
(IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants( vit C,& E, alpha lipoic acid) vitamins, minerals,
EFAs (high quality fish oil, grass fed animals, cold water fatty fish, etc.) to enable the bodies own killer cells to destroy
cancer cells.. Other supplements like vitamin E are known
to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's
normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or
unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit.
A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior
be a survivor. Anger, un-forgiveness and bitterness put
the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to
have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy
life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated
environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to
get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen
therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer
cells.

1. No plastic containers in micro.

2. No water bottles in freezer.

3. No plastic wrap in microwave..

Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well. Dioxin chemicals cause cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the Microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc.

Or better yet, do not use Microwave at all.

He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food.

Cover food with a paper towel instead.

Better enforcement and education to cut road deaths

Plans to improve road safety education while taking tough action against the small minority of dangerous drivers were set out by Transport Secretary Philip Hammond today.

Careless driving will be made a fixed penalty offence to allow the police more effectively to tackle reckless driving that puts other road users in danger, while disqualified drivers face having to take a new test before regaining their licence.

There will also be more educational courses that can be offered in place of a fixed penalty and points in appropriate cases as well as a new post-test qualification for novice drivers, under plans set out in the new Strategic Framework for Road Safety.

And as new analysis shows, 3,500 deaths and serious injuries could have been prevented in a year if the successes of better local authorities and police forces had been matched across the country. Local people will be given the information they need to have a real say in road safety priorities on their local roads.

Philip Hammond said:

"This report marks a sea change in how we tackle road safety in this country. We are determined to differentiate between wilfully reckless drivers and the law abiding majority who sometimes make honest mistakes, or who have allowed their skills to deteriorate.

"We will focus relentlessly on cracking down on the really reckless few who are responsible for a disproportionately large number of accidents and deaths on our roads. By allowing the police to focus resources on dealing with these drivers, we can make our roads even safer.

"Our vision is to ensure Britain remains a world leader on road safety. We will only do this is if we bring people with us. This means cracking down on the most dangerous drivers without waging war on the law abiding majority.

The new Strategic Framework for Road Safety sets out the government’s plans to:

Make careless driving a fixed penalty offence to allow the police more effectively to tackle the wilfully reckless driving that puts other road users in danger. Guidance will ensure that that the circumstances in which a fixed penalty notice is appropriate are clearly defined.
Require offenders to pass a test before they regain their licence after a serious disqualification.
Make greater use of powers to seize vehicles to keep the most dangerous drivers off the roads.
Increase the level of fixed penalty notices for traffic offences from £60 to between £80 and £100 and penalty points. Levels have fallen behind those for other fixed penalty offences, which risks trivialising the offences.
Improve enforcement against drink and drug driving, as announced in the response to the North Report in March.
Increase the use of police-approved educational courses that can be offered in place of fixed penalty notices to encourage safer driving behaviour.
Launch a new post-test qualification for new drivers, including an assessment process to give insurers confidence that it will create safer drivers who can expect to pay lower insurance costs. This will replace the current Pass Plus scheme.
Continue to improve the driving and motorcycling training processes, including introducing film clips into theory test.
Create a new website to allow local people to easily compare the road safety performance of their local area against similar areas, as well as a new portal to help road safety professionals share information. The framework published today also includes maps which show the recent road safety records and improvements of local authorities.
Launch an annual road safety day.
The framework also sets out the roles and responsibilities of local authorities, road safety professionals and other stakeholders in improving road safety and the increased freedom that is being given to local authorities in assessing and acting on their own priorities.

The government’s long term vision is to ensure that Britain remains a world leader on road safety and the department will monitor its performance against indicators in a new road safety outcomes framework.

Few days ago my student was on a driving test in Goodmayes East London. He emerged from the side road to turn left by pulling out, which made the driver slow down a lot (small gap). This student failed with 1 serious fault and 4 minor mistakes. Later I asked him, "why did you pulled out". He said "Noel this test is just one money making schemes, you can't drive like they want, its not normal! The van was far away so what if he slows down a bit". All the things we the driving instructor teach has a small affect on their over all road attitude from this observation. No wonder young drivers pay such a high insurance premium.

Uninsured drivers face new crackdown
New powers to tackle uninsured driving will come into force within months, Road Safety Minister Mike Penning announced today.
Under the new powers it will be an offence to keep an uninsured vehicle, rather than just to drive when uninsured.
Currently every responsible motorist pays an average £30 each year within their premiums to cover crashes involving uninsured and untraced drivers. It is also estimated that uninsured and untraced drivers kill 160 people and injure 23,000 every year.
Mike Penning said:
"Uninsured drivers push up premiums for other motorists and often drive with no regard for other road users, so it is vital that we do everything we can to keep them off the roads.
“More than 400 uninsured vehicles are already being seized by the police every day but it is simply not possible to catch every uninsured driver in this way. That is why we are bringing in these new powers which will help us to take targeted action while freeing up police time to deal with the hard core of offenders.”
Ashton West, Chief Executive at the Motor Insurers’ Bureau, said:
“Today’s news marks a significant step forward in the fight against uninsured driving. This means that as enforcement can take place for both keeping and driving a vehicle without insurance there will be no place for illegal motorists to hide.
“Continuous Insurance Enforcement (CIE) will complement and run alongside existing police roadside enforcement, which has already reduced uninsured driving by 20 per cent.”
Under the new system:

the DVLA will work in partnership with the Motor Insurers’ Bureau to identify uninsured vehicles
motorists will receive a letter telling them that their vehicle appears to be uninsured and warning them that they will be fined unless they take action
if the keeper fails to insure the vehicle they will be given a £100 fine
if the vehicle remains uninsured - regardless of whether the fine is paid - it could then be seized and destroyed

Vehicles with a valid Statutory Off Road Notice (SORN) will not be required to be insured.
The Department for Transport today made the Commencement Order to make it an offence to be the registered keeper of a vehicle which does not have insurance, as well as regulations to support this. Further regulations will be made shortly, allowing the scheme to come into force in the Spring.

A brother and sister who ran their own ‘family business’ of arranging theory tests for candidates received prison sentences when they appeared at Ipswich Crown Court yesterday.
Vishal Aggarwal, aged 35, from West Drayton, London was sentenced to 30 months in prison and his sister Vanita Aggarwal, aged 33, also from West Drayton, received nine months imprisonment.
They appeared in the dock with four candidates who had paid them to arrange and take their theory tests for them.
Jatinder Kaur Randhawa, 44, from Ilford, Priya Patel, 29, from Wembley, and Shazia Syed, 30, from Slough were each given 120 hours community service and Sita Rani Dhadwal, 31, from Birmingham, received an 18-month supervision order.
All the defendants faced charges of conspiracy to defraud and the Aggarwals each faced another charge of possessing an identity document with intent to commit fraud.

Wheel clamping on private land is to be banned in England and Wales. The ban, which will be introduced in the new Freedom Bill in November, will impose tough penalties on anyone who clamps a vehicle or tows it away on private land.

Once the ban comes into force it will be illegal to clamp, tow away or in any way immobilise a vehicle on private land.
Anyone who clamps, immobilises or tows away a vehicle on private land without the specific legal authority to do so will face criminal charges or civil penalties.
However, the ban will only apply to private land. It will not affect local authorities’ and the police’s right to clamp vehicles.
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) will continue to clamp or tow away vehicles if the vehicle tax has not been paid.
The Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) will also continue to clamp or tow away un-roadworthy vehicles to stop them being used on the road.
At the moment, if someone wants to work clamping vehicles, they must hold a frontline licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA). This will stop once the ban comes into force.
There are currently 2,150 people who are licensed by the SIA to clamp vehicles.

Always arrived earlier before lesson start, and 1 hour driving really means 1 hour driving and learning.
Correct every mistake i made straight way.( i had so many bad habits learned from many other driving instructors, had many lesson with them, i still had no idea what to do, or where is my problem, how to correct them, you found all my weakness from the very first lesson, and correct them straight and repeatedly reminding me until i finally correct that bad habit).
After every lesson, i found myself improved a lot, learned a lot, i was always looking forward to next lesson. that was brilliant feeling. ever lesson, i correct many mistakes, and learned new skills.
I always worry about being panic when car stalled or hit the kerb during the test, but your tips really made me relaxed and confident.
My test was in Barking, today the testing route was very familiar to me, because you took me to all these testing routes before my test, this gave me even more confidence during my test.

I had two previous driving instructors before Noel so it’s easy for me to see the great amount of difference there can be in an instructor, and that is exactly what Noel is, a driving instructor. He will teach you not only how to drive, but how to drive safely, and how to pass your test. Every lesson with Noel is an assessment.

Noel’s style of teaching is, in my opinion, the most successful. If you are making an error he explains what you are doing, how you can stop doing it, and will point it out to you until it is as glaringly obvious to you as it is to him. Noel is not strict and unapproachable, he has just the right balance of easy going and being forceful when he needs to be. The difference between the two is what helped me to pass, Noel being easy going helped me relax and learn as well as ask all the little questions I thought might be stupid. Noel being forceful with me is what helped me eradicate the major problems with my driving style and become not only a driver that was capable of passing a driving test, but a driver whose lessons will stay with them and lead to them being a much safer driver in the future. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you Noel!

Hi everyone, if are thinking of driving on the M62 motor way then think twice. A temporary speed camera placed on the M62 motorway in West Yorkshire, England, accrued more then £1 million in fines over an 18 months period. I wonder how many accident the £1 million pound speed camera prevented!!!!!!!. Speed cameras have made good citizens into criminals. Cleaning teeth at 70mph

Driver fined
A women was caught flossing her teeth as she drove at 70mph on a motorway.
The 36-year old was spotted by traffic cops using the dental floss while looking in her rear view mirror.
She was fined £60 and lectured about careless driving after she was nabbed on the M4 near Newport, South Wales.
Police warned that many drivers put lives at risk of vanity. Sun 27-Feb-2010 page 31.

I think she needs to help out just one day in the AE-hospital on a Fiday night. How stupid one can become behind wheel.
